T.S. Kochhar

T.S. Kochhar is a professor of biology at KSU, specializing in environmental toxicology and mutagenesis. He holds a PhD in biology from the University of Kentucky, and MSc and BSc degrees in botany from the University of Delhi. He and his students have published their research on the effects of heavy metals on mammalian chromosome alterations in several peer-reviewed journals and made presentations at national and international professional society meetings.He has received travel awards from the Environmental Mutagen Society to present work in Australia and France, and visited the Philippines as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in Environmental Science to lecture on environmental topics, including mutagenecity testing and the genotoxicity of arsenic. Kochhar’s current research explores the potential of selenium as an anticancer agent.
